so since it's been hot as shit the past few days up this way, decided that i'd try some new tasty beers. i got to beverage king, and realized that i had no idea what to try. was in a hurry, so just grabbed some long trail blackberry wheats (mmmm). i like darker, amber beers with not necessarily a bitter taste, but a very hoppy one. for cheapo domestics, prefer coors light. are there some that i'm missing out on that i just haven't tried yet? share your more quality favorites.

High Gravity
You don't have to like what he did, but I would hope that you can appreciate the time, money and love that went in to the build. If you can't, you're not really an enthusiast, just another dumb kid with a car.-visualpoet

Do you get Yuengling up there? It's a standard down here, but it comes from Pottsville, PA. Yuengling is America's oldest brewery.

My friend Jym has his own beer blog. He knows a lot, and his judgement of beer is awesome. I've had a number of the ones he's described (a few of them with him...) and he really does a great hob at accurately describing the character of the beer.

well for some reason i'm not able to multi-quote, but deev: never even heard of yuengling; but will look into it. would probably have to be special ordered? from my local beer/liquor place. have tried smithwick's before and LOVED it. it was a favorite occasional beer back in school. also never heard of peroni nastro azzurro, and am def. going to have to look into that as well. I love red stripe, that will def. be one of the next's. the high-gravity beers make we want to ralffff

if you havent tried them, i would really suggest anchorsteam (a darker, very tasty steam ale), magic hat #9 (slightly fruity, lighter lager), and purple haze (a light lager with a strong taste of berries).
for something more readily available, my favorite beer at the moment is killians irish red.
