I think Saturdays work best for most.... I am down for any friday or saturday as I am off those days...

Just got a ps3 and gt5 for christmas. Started playing for a bit then hooked the ps3 to the internet. Setup/signup. Then I try to play gt5 and the update/installation promt comes up so I install which took about 30min till it was complete then the system shuts off. Turn it back on and now I can not play gt5. It gets to the main screen and just stays there. I let it sit another half hour and nothing. no load status or anything just the gt5 logo. Anyone else experience this or maybe know a solution? It's getting very frustrating.

I figured this would work in this thread as it is a gt5 thread lol. Thanks in advance.

edit: This is my first ps3 and I don't know much about them or all their settings etc.

i always manage to get second place on gran turismo all stars. im using my mclaren f1 steath. i catch up on the corners, but once i hit the straight away i lose like 3 seconds LOL. damn.

Format the harddrive and start all over again. If it still does it then you have a lemon.

Hmm. I will try this tonight after work. I only got to level 9 anywho so whatever is lost is no biggie. If this doesn't work I'll borrow my buddys gt5 because all the other games and movies work just not gt5. Then I'll go from there. Thank you for your help sir! hope this works.

really? my mclaren always comes through for me in the straights but is a little squirrelly in the corners... that car is my go to car if the competition is to hard

before you format just delete the GT5 data in the very top folder under game, then try reinstalling

I found an extra ethernet cable laying around my house, so my PS3 is now permanently hooked up online whenever it's on.

Feel free to add or message me any time you see me online. I'll stop what I'm doing and have a go with ya. I'm always up for some serious competitive racing.

I'm ditching the front splitter now that I've beaten the races I needed the car for. It's a bit gaudy for my taste. I'll find some other way to deal with the understeer.

I'm so close to being able to buy a Mazda 787B to take care of the 'race car' A-spec races. I've gold in all of the old seasonal races, gold in the new Mini & Mustang races, silver in the Focus race, and two left to go. Then I'll have my Group C dream car and pwn everything .
