Downtime

[Pandemic]

For those who aren't on the facebook group, allow me to explain.

CB7tuner.com was, in fact, down for the past 3 days or so. For the past month or two, the server had been running on only one hard drive. That could have been fine for a year or ten. We have the hard drives mirrored in the server so that if one fails the other can take over and alert us of the problem.

We knew it was only running on one and we also knew that there was a degree of risk with swapping in a new one. I don't know the fine details but data was corrupted somehow and we lost everything. We had backups from a week prior because we were planning on doing this maintenance. Unfortunately it went badly.

The past three days have been spent pulling the server, trying to recover data, and then rebuilding the server. The past 12 or so hours have been manually changing all of the settings required to run sites like cb7tuner.

We did lose a weeks worth of information.

then yesterday i log on, and the page ssaid, account suspeneded.

Good thought. Yeah, anything that happened after the 2nd is gone. As far as the database is concerned, it never existed.

Anyone banned after the 2nd was never banned. Anyone that joined after the 2nd never joined. Any threads posted after the 2nd were never posted.
