In my state, you can use any color except red and blue on the streets. Some places don't care about the color, as long as you can't see the tube.

I wish they were further back myself. There just isn't anything back there to attach them to. I literally have them as far back as I can and still have them screwed down on the ends.

Hells yeah! I've been a fan of undercars since they first came out. They're not too bright. The LED kit I had lit up the road on both sides of the car for a good 20 feet.

They're attached to what I consider frame rails. The only thing under there I could use without going directly up into the floorboard. I'll try to get some pics today under the car. The back bumper was the hardest. It's actually inside the bumper cover. There's just nothing in the back to hide the tube. Maybe I'll get a rear lip and then I can tuck it behind the lip.

Yeah, it has since I got it, then someone stood on the tip and peeled the rear hangers right out of the muffler, so it's even lower now. I need to run it to a muffler shop and have them rehang the back end for me, but if I pull it up to where I want it to sit, the pipe hits the rear suspension. I've grown to like it's low slung stance, except in driveways and over harsh speed bumps.
It's either going to get adjusted or replaced when I get around to dropping the car.

I was 11 when The Fast and the Furious came out, and remember, in detail, my jaw dropping and eyes going wide during the opening scene (green-neon-glow Civics). The neons just blew my mind!

It's too bad neon tubes have been dismissed as "rice" since the release of that movie. Honestly, I think they look great...but the stigma associated with them nowadays isn't.

Thanks for making me feel old. I was grown and had two kids when it came out. (One was old enough to ask me how quick my Corolla ran the 1/4 when we left the drive-in. I told him that I stopped timing it after 18 seconds. )

I remember a guy down the street from my grandparents that built old fat body domestics when I was a kid, and he had a beautiful bright yellow 5 window coupe called "Wild Canary". He came down the street one night with a set of neons on it (this was back in the 80's) and the afterburners going. I just stood and gaped like a stuck fish.

            Had mine since 2005.

Sadly, they dont work anymore. Around here, they're UBER-rice and only attract unwanted attention. Are they LED, Jon?

Ive thought about either replacing mine with LED or maybe, years down the road, if/whyen i ever do a show car or something "flashy", putting neons on it. In the meantime..i miss them, but the nostalgia wears off fairly quickly.

Now, i liked having them inside. That was cool. People can see in your car but if your tint is dark enough...

These are true neons, but I think I preferred the LED kit I had. They were definitely brighter than these are, plus I could aim them. They threw light a good thirty feet out from under the car, but they were an old 7 color set, and they started going out little by little. I think probably cracking solder joints in the circuit boards. I've got another 4 foot tube, and two more three footers, so I defintely see one in the trunk, and one under the rear seat lip. Maybe one under the hood, if I can make it fairly discreet. Then I think I'll need a couple of 12 inchers under the dash for the footwells.

I think my INT ones were 8". I cant remember.

I know mounting the one on the rear bumper was a bitch. I ended up cutting out a section of the bottom of the bumper, lol.

I only want one color, but i like the controlability you get with the LEDs, lol. You can move them in patterns around the car.

I think I'm going to have to cut the rear bumper as well. I'll probably shave off that inner two inches. The bolts tore away from the bumper a long time ago, so I won't lose any support and it's going to allow a lot more light to come out.

                  I want these next:

I know, I need to tuck that wire. It was late and dark when I finished up, now it's raining. I also know they are supposed to be in the circular part of the clip, but that made them hang too low, and also didn't let me screw the ends into the car.

I actually kinda like the neon. The only thing I don't like about neon is that it screams "ROB ME" in the parking lot...

Looks good john,I'm about to change my 7 color led kit to the new 3 million kit,as far as mounting,I mounted mine to the inside of the rail, there is a little recess there,so the rail would hit the ground before the tubes,

I used to have white ones.

Not a fan of red, but I do like underglow.

I used to have a blue LED undercar kit on my black Contour. It actually looked pretty bad ass.

I'm a fan of extra lighting when it's done right. Footwell LEDs for example have always been a favourite. I had LEDs in my door speaker grilles in that Contour too.

Just extra little touches like that which are cool.
