I bought my engine off Ebay. I got the F22B DOHC with 5 speed manual transmission for 1000 flat. It all worked great except there was a small crack in the transmission case that I couldn't see until it leaked all the transmission fluid out and the whole thing exploded. It cost around 1600 dollars to COMPLETELY rebuild the transmission with 2 year warranty. But the engine was strong until I boosted it and blew the rings lands.Been a long time. Still alive...

i got my h22 way back in the day from a guy on ebay.. he had a shop and bought and sold auction cars.. being that he had his shop, he replaced the timing/BS belt and tensioner and a couple other things.. i just had to do a minor tuneup and it ran great.. valve seals started crapping out after like 3 or so years, but whateva..

Ebay neither makes, nor sells anything themselves. All things sold on ebay are sold by individuals, or individual companies. Therefore, one person's luck with an "ebay" purchase will have absolutely no bearing on someone else's luck, unless they buy from the same seller. Even then, you're buying a used engine... so you STILL can't say for sure.
I would never buy from anywhere other than www.homotorsonline.com when buying a used Honda engine. I'd rather pay a little more for something that works, than go cheap and end up with an expensive paperweight.

Well, honestly at first I thought I was just stupid. I was looking at the sight thinking "Well deeve said he ONLY buys from these guys, there's probably an option somewhere to select motors or engines or something." And eventually I looked at the URL and wondered about H-Motors and HOMO-tors, and I just filled in the blank.
You can usually find the people who are selling the engine on Ebay online. They will have a web sight up most of the time for either Tiger Jap, or something like that.Been a long time. Still alive...
