2) I found the RSX-s no fun to drive. Don't get offended by it, I just didn't enjoy it. I had much higher expectations of it than what it delivered, so maybe that was my fault. I just did not feel like they were fast at all, did not feel like they handled how most acura's seem to. People tell me all the time how great ac's handle, and I just wasn't impressed.
3) My dak is lowered and has nitto tires. It handles much better than the average truck. Not saying its track worthy or anything, but keep an open mind to it. It's not like a lifted ranger trying to auto X. If we lived closer, I'd take you for a ride in it sometime, and show you. It actually body rolls less than my mustang, though that doesn't say a whole lot either. Obviously an RSX redlines higher. So? it's got less cylinders. And with a V8, especially straight piped (Which mine is. Not because it's cheaper or whatever, just because I prefer how it sounds. I've got a borla muffler and a Flowmaster super 44, but I like how straights sound) you don't have to rev the snot out of it to make it sound good. Though in all honesty, I don't get on it anymore, so it's not terribly important.
4) I don't feel like I should have to apologize for thinking my mustang was fast. Sure, some people here have kept up with some, but what mods did they have? You and I both know that shedding some weight helps alot. Couple that with the tune, and it was a little faster than a stock GT. I'm not calling it a Ferrari, but I do honestly feel like it was faster than both my Hondas, I KNOW it was faster than an RSX-S, and I don't understand why that's a problem. There are PLENTY of honda's out there that would have crushed it. Shit, I got walked on the autocross times by a NEON But he also had some crazy suspension setup and a built engine or something, I don't really recall. But it just goes to show that enough money will make anything fast.
At the end of the day, I'm a domestic guy. Moreso, I'm a muscle car guy. I know, I know, this is a honda forum. But I find a lot of information here, and enjoy some of the discussions, so I'm not going anywhere. Equally, I do not try to fly some Domestic flag in every ones face. But I believe a lot of users here trash domestics, muscle and anything else with out an "H" on the hood with little knowledge of what else is out there. I'm not trying to insult anyone, but rather stating my opinions and experiences.
My 90 wasn't a beat ass accord, either. Sure, it wasn't perfect. But it never left me stranded, looked good, and was fun to drive since I'd never had something faster (And didn't need faster at the time, either).
My 92 coupe... That one was a little rougher. Definitely wasn't a healthy car. But the gas mileage was nice, and it sure was fun to pick on faster cars in it just to see if they'd take it seriously. That car was kind of more like a joke to me. I could have taken it somewhere, but didn't, and ended up giving it to a friend of mine. Well, I told him to have it for free, and he would come to my house randomly and leave me money for it when he could until it was $800. I didn't ask for it, though. I was content to give it to him. He needed it, I didn't.
Don't see why you have to be so hostile about how you state your opinion to me, but I guess if that's how you convey your opinion then by all means, keep talking. It's just a discussion though, and like I always say, if we all liked the same car, the roads would get really really boring. I know I wouldn't want to see a road covered with dodge dakota's any sooner than I'd want to see one covered in only honda accords.
I might also mention that if my handgun sells, I'm getting another accord. but it's a 97. Just something to give my girlfriend when she gets moved out here, but I will be dipping back into the resources here soon if things pan out.
