    1) That sure sounds like a lot more than two. The 230HP was related to crank output, not wheel HP.

    2) They couldn't drive. Considering they are barely putting out less power and weight AT LEAST 1,000lbs less, they either weren't racing, or they couldn't drive.

    4) What about an RSX isn't fun to drive? Unlike a 4,000-5,000lb truck, it actually goes where you point it, doesn't roll over in turns, has a total grip of better than .55G, redlines higher, and gets around town just as well, and is in fact faster...

Never said the truck wasn't "fun" to drive, but then again to claim that an RSX-S isn't is pretty silly, especially when compared to a truck.

    4) Nice trying to back pedal though. I don't like most domestics because they don't last (with the exception of a Cummins Ram, I have haven't found a Chrysler yet that will even make it to 100K with no problems, and unlike you, I am not talking just one or two, more like DOZENS, although their gas engine trucks are pretty good too). I have a whole family that is devoted to GM. Most of them were on their 3rd or 4th round of GM's, while our first Honda was still running. The ONLY GM car I ever saw go passed 100K was the Cavalier with 365K that I mentioned, and when it finally broke, GM made the comment about "it was designed to quit at 100K." We have had better luck with their trucks, although those were still spotty too. My aunt had an S-10 Blazer that made it to almost 200K, but was maintained meticulously, and my Grandfather had a 1994 truck that made it to about 150K with few issues, even though it worked hard. Other than that, they have also all been replaced fairly regularly.

I love how when someone says something bad about GM, or any other brand other than Honda, everyone on here just assumes that because it is a Honda site, that nobody on here has ever owned or dealt with anything but Honda. I live, sleep, eat, breathe, dream and do anything I can with cars. Yeah, I am a Honda fanboy, and that is because in all my time doing shit with cars, they provided the best overall package, hands down, bar none, time and again, over and over, for longer than anyone else.

To top it off, you get some 18 year old shit stain that owned a beat ass 1990 Accord trying to tell you about how fast his domestic shit is and how crappy imports are and how they aren't all they are cracked up to be, even though he is making that statement based off of 1, maybe 2 cars, that were probably 2-3x the age of his domestics and had probably 2-3 times the mileage.

Then they call cars like the RSX and Si crap, while telling you about how a Mustang has "real power," and how fast their 17 second truck is, and how it will get out of its own way. Which is fine, if they didn't then turn around and try to portray an import that is CLEARLY faster in every way as some slow turd pile of shit.

Just FYI, I have kept up with several of your gen GT's in my Accord. I didn't pull, but neither did they, and I mean AT ALL on both sides.

The SI has kept up with a bolt on new GT (first retro gen, not the newest GT) to just over 80MPH when I let off, and believe me, he was driving just fine.

You can not like the cars all you want. I don't give a shit, and doubt anybody else does either. I don't have a problem with it, until you start making blatantly ignorant and stupid comments, such as those here.

    1) If you are going to make fun of me for being younger, you should get my age right.

    2) I found the RSX-s no fun to drive. Don't get offended by it, I just didn't enjoy it. I had much higher expectations of it than what it delivered, so maybe that was my fault. I just did not feel like they were fast at all, did not feel like they handled how most acura's seem to. People tell me all the time how great ac's handle, and I just wasn't impressed.

    3) My dak is lowered and has nitto tires. It handles much better than the average truck. Not saying its track worthy or anything, but keep an open mind to it. It's not like a lifted ranger trying to auto X. If we lived closer, I'd take you for a ride in it sometime, and show you. It actually body rolls less than my mustang, though that doesn't say a whole lot either. Obviously an RSX redlines higher. So? it's got less cylinders. And with a V8, especially straight piped (Which mine is. Not because it's cheaper or whatever, just because I prefer how it sounds. I've got a borla muffler and a Flowmaster super 44, but I like how straights sound) you don't have to rev the snot out of it to make it sound good. Though in all honesty, I don't get on it anymore, so it's not terribly important.

    4) I don't feel like I should have to apologize for thinking my mustang was fast. Sure, some people here have kept up with some, but what mods did they have? You and I both know that shedding some weight helps alot. Couple that with the tune, and it was a little faster than a stock GT. I'm not calling it a Ferrari, but I do honestly feel like it was faster than both my Hondas, I KNOW it was faster than an RSX-S, and I don't understand why that's a problem. There are PLENTY of honda's out there that would have crushed it. Shit, I got walked on the autocross times by a NEON But he also had some crazy suspension setup and a built engine or something, I don't really recall. But it just goes to show that enough money will make anything fast.

At the end of the day, I'm a domestic guy. Moreso, I'm a muscle car guy. I know, I know, this is a honda forum. But I find a lot of information here, and enjoy some of the discussions, so I'm not going anywhere. Equally, I do not try to fly some Domestic flag in every ones face. But I believe a lot of users here trash domestics, muscle and anything else with out an "H" on the hood with little knowledge of what else is out there. I'm not trying to insult anyone, but rather stating my opinions and experiences.

My 90 wasn't a beat ass accord, either. Sure, it wasn't perfect. But it never left me stranded, looked good, and was fun to drive since I'd never had something faster (And didn't need faster at the time, either).

My 92 coupe... That one was a little rougher. Definitely wasn't a healthy car. But the gas mileage was nice, and it sure was fun to pick on faster cars in it just to see if they'd take it seriously. That car was kind of more like a joke to me. I could have taken it somewhere, but didn't, and ended up giving it to a friend of mine. Well, I told him to have it for free, and he would come to my house randomly and leave me money for it when he could until it was $800. I didn't ask for it, though. I was content to give it to him. He needed it, I didn't.

Don't see why you have to be so hostile about how you state your opinion to me, but I guess if that's how you convey your opinion then by all means, keep talking. It's just a discussion though, and like I always say, if we all liked the same car, the roads would get really really boring. I know I wouldn't want to see a road covered with dodge dakota's any sooner than I'd want to see one covered in only honda accords.

I might also mention that if my handgun sells, I'm getting another accord. but it's a 97. Just something to give my girlfriend when she gets moved out here, but I will be dipping back into the resources here soon if things pan out.

You're not JDM until you have a car built in ohio with tons of bolt ons from ebay.
