              No. But I'm surprised that hasn't happened yet. lol.
              My H22 threw a rod cause I was running it around 6500rpms without vtec.
              My ECU is set to have vtec kick in at 4800rpms :/

              So don't run your car past where vtec is suppose to kick in without vtec kicking in.

                    Yea I was wondering the same thing. I understand you might have some head issues but not throwing a rod. Would it be because the motor was in not so good shape and couldnt handle a lead foot?

                      Myabe. But I'm almost positive that's the reason it happened. Cause I ran it hard with vtec and it never gave me problems! But I'm ordering a new H22A very soon and puttin it in there

                        I think vtec not kicking in is just another "symptom" there's a reason it didn't kick in and that's also probably what caused you to throw a rod.

                        How was your oil pressure?

                              I don't know. My oil level was fine though. It was only throwing one code and that was 14: Ignition Control Module.
