Does anyone ever post in the tech forums anymore or what?

Been noticing that most people seem to come to hang out in OT, update members ride threads or hang out in the noob section...

    Need moore tech posts?!!!

i'll be starting a new thread in the tech section when i begin the A6 rebuild. honestly, i don't browse through there very often. i think most of the experience everyone can gain, and/or has already is self-taught, hands-on stuff. taking a billion pics, spending 40 minutes posting a thread with details and checking for errors, is time consuming stuff. not everyone has the time i guess.

    life is good.

Are you saying people are posting tech posts in OT, Or that no-one is doing any technical work?

There isn't many "Big" projects going on around here lately.
This reminds me of a similar thread a few years ago where, the tech sections died off and people started suggesting "Everything has be covered about the CB, there's nothing new to add"
Which isn't true - That's like saying there's nothing left to discover in this world.

A "Finished" project car is never finished until its been sold.

If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

I'm suggesting the latter. The tech forums are dead and have seemed to be for a long while now. Projects or not... Seems like we've lost some enthusiasm. No pics... of anything. Remember when the image gallery's first page was always new? Some of the tech forums were like that too...

Just makes me sad is all. I loved the unbridled enthusiasm that used to be in every section... But this place is turning into hondasociety or accordtuner almost where it's more about the OT action than the tech.

Seems a different... slightly cynical vibe round here since I've been back. Maybe I'm contributing to that with this post... I don't know. Everything seems so different now though...

Total rant. Sorry. Just a bummer is all.

What, you diddn't notice the (unfinished) sticky tidyups, and the rules forum

It has been a while since you have been here, I remember you from ALONG time ago.
Times change, people change, but the forum stays the same.
The community make the forum - There gets less and less "Experienced / Wise" members (as they move onto bigger and better things) and more and more new members, and some that stick around to become those new "Experienced / Wise" members.

                        What like a member with a V6 or a V8?
How about a 4WD CB, or a tube chassis CB, or a Fuelcell CB, hell even simple things like a custom fibreglass center console, or door panels.

There's still heaps of things to do, it's just a matter of if the current members are willing to do it.
I've had plans of a V8 CB for 5 years now, and I'm still not ready to do it yet, Nor in the coming couple of years. I Have other more important plans that I need to do first.

theres still posts there. a lot of the posts are very vague so i dont bother helping out posts that just say, "car wont start..." or "car smokes..."

we need more meat man, put in some effort so we can put some effort in. also in the n00b section, if the topic already has 3 posts in it, i dont bother contributing becuase i assume it has been answered.
