I am kinda 50/50 on the taser thing. Some cops are too chicken shit/lazy to wrestle (I have asked) with somebody so they just tase them. But if you cant control a 10 year old with a pair of cuffs or simple restrainment, then you dont need to be a copper. But the taser probably got him a taste of reality and showed him what happens when you are bad.

I'd have tazed him too. If the little shit was causing that much trouble, I'd have lit his world up.

We can only hope that if/when he pulls this shit again he gets pepper sprayed first, THEN tazed.

Kids need a serious ass beating these days. When I have kids, they WILL get their asses beat when they do something bad. Not something small, but if I catch my kid egging the neighbors house, ass beating. If I catch my kid stealing money from mommies purse, ass beating. If my kid won't stop throwing a fit at home or in public, ass beating.

That's how I was raised, and guess what, WORKED FOR MY PARENTALS, WORKS FOR ME!!!

To be honest, I was afraid of my dad until I was about 15 or so. Got the belt as a kid a few times...even from my mom. My dad has a thick leather belt that was sort of braided...all these little thin pieces woven together and backed by a solid piece of leather. Was about 1/4" thick and 2.5" wide. They kept it on hanging on a hook that was built into a stand-up mirror. Every time I heard the jingling of the buckle I knew what time it was....needless to say it didn't take too many times before I straightened up. My dad has a real loud, stern voice that got me most of the time, then after a while I just didn't do anything to make trouble.

I think the tazer was a bit much. Necessary? Maybe. But police officers are trained to take down grown men, i highly doubt this kid was the size of a grown man. Roughing him up a bit, handcuffing him and tossing him in the back of the cruiser would've sufficed.
