ticket for no windsheild wipers?

can you get a ticket for no windsheild wipers? i was going to take mine off and do some work on them for painting and just wondering if you can get a ticket without them thanks..

they probably would around here, (issue a fixit ticket), because of "faulty equipment" or something like that...why idk, but if the cop feels like being a dickbasket for no reason he could give you a ticket for fucking breathing too loudlyjk.

you guys and your emissions shit--i think they have other things to worry about like speeders and stolen vehicles lol it'd probably be a secondary offense

I'm taking mine off once the weather gets nicer. Just looks way cleaner. And we RARELY get rain in the summer around here

i haven't had wipers for close to a decade probably. i don't think a cop has ever noticed. couldn't say what would happen in other states though.

if you don't wax your windshield regularly, i would leave them on. later.

If you see the title of this thread from the section selection page it says

If you're driving in the rain without them, I would imagine you could get a ticket for reckless driving. If you're caught at an inspection checkpoint (they have them in NJ), you would get a ticket. I got one for a crack in my windshield, and I'd say that's much less dangerous than no wipers.

If you don't drive your car in the rain, then it shouldn't be a problem. If you wax your windshield, or use a water repellant product, then it would be alright for very light rain... but I wouldn't intentionally drive in it.

There is no such thing as an inspection in Cali, other than emissions.

Although I did have to take a car to the CHP (california highway patrol) office one time for an inspection after I bought it, but only because it came from out of state and had Texas plates on it. Maybe it was also because I bought it at an auction.
