    So Im officially pissed...

Just got done working on most of the engine bay, got 90% done, got my leather inserts on the panels, installed some 15x6 wheels on the Azenis...

...and just when I think everything is well, I happen to get a compression test, and get this:

    Cylinder 1: 150
    Cylinder 2: 80-90
    Cylinder 3: 140
    Cylinder 4: 140

Im just real pissed now. These are times when normally I'd be like "fuck it, part out time"...but Im going to stick it out, try and figure out how to get this working properly again.

Guys, any inputs would be appreciated.

im guessing you ran a dry and wet test what one is are those reading from? and have you been having issues with the motor besides the oil leaking?

there is a new product they advertise on t.v i forget what it's called though but it's guaranteed to raise the compression in all your cylinders and i'd also use Z-max

And for the other guys, chill out.

Possible things include, head-gasket, piston rings, bent valves. maybe valve stems ?

perdido, hahah. Sorry to hear about the engine trouble.

Try checking the compression with another gauge, maybe that helps.

You might have carbon buildup on your valves, maybe a bent valve, I would conduct a leakdown and see what you get.
                  hoping for the best..

Sup bro! I was thinking that last night, checking it with another gauge.

...and yeah, dont worry about him; just another hater in the game, driving a rice bucket.

                    Thanks bro.

So for an update, I drove the car last night, and runs absolutely fine. No smoke, no bogging, no weird idle, nothing. I did a little research, and it was saying something about having the car WOT when testing (which I didn't do) and battery full charge. I'm still reading a bit more, but so far the WOT is what I need to do.

If rings are bad, Im already looking at these:

                    -Honda Piston Rings set (4)
                    -Honda Head Gasket
                    -ACL Racing Main/Rod Bearings

wouldn't this be caused by the wrong amount of torque when the engine was being rebuilt? I mean I'm not saying you did something...im just wondering if torque would be involved during the rebuild...

Anyway sorry to hear this to happen to you dude. Looks like it sucks and time consuming. Hope you get it back on its feet...er wheels.

Well, you only have 5 points at which you can lose your compression, you have 2 intake, 2 exhaust valves, and your piston rings. it's one of those. Do the compression check again and do the oil trick, if the compression goes up it's the rings, if it stays the same, it's the valves. Next is just knocking out a rebuild
Been a long time. Still alive...

you'd probably feel a little miss at idle, during driving you wouldnt feel a thing. same thing on my dad's lexus. one hole is at 90-100 but it drives fine and barely passed smog. it was definitely the rings though.

Engine wasn't rebuilt, at least yet

Yeah I'm thinking its one of these. If its a valve, I have one laying around that ThrakBarts has. If its pistons, then its time for a nice build up
