I bought an ap1 sk2 factory cd player from ebay. Of course it has no code even though the seller said it came with one . From a google search it seams I have to take proof of ownership of the vehicle and the serial # (00A11305) to a honda dealer parts counter. Obviously I dont own the car, how can I get the code, make buddies with the dealer?

It may be the same for all honda radios, and you would have to contact the seller who sold you the radio for information on the car it came from and from where it was purchased. The following is how to retrieve the code on a 6th gen accord, it may work for all honda radios.
For everyone who still has the OEM radio
RADIO CODE RETRIEVAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Put key in ignition and turn it to the "Radio Only" knotch. DON'T HAVE TO START THE CAR.
2. Hold preset buttons "1" and "6" simultaneously then press the radio power button while still holding the preset buttons.
3. A 4-digit upper and 4-digit lower serial code should appear in the radio display stating something like "U ####" for a couple seconds then "L ####" for a couple seconds. Write down these 8 digits. This is your radio serial number.
4. Write down your vehicle VIN# (located at various locations around the car).
5. Get on a computer and proceed to this website: https://radio-navicode.honda.com/
6. Follow the instructions on that site, entering your VIN#, phone number/zip code given when the car was purchased or registered, and the radio serial number. Your radio code will appear on that site.
7. Write down (or enter into your mobile phone like I did) your radio security code.
8. Repeat step 1 (key in ignition) and turn your radio on. If it says "ERR#" or "COde", tap the appropriate preset numbers (5-digit radio security code) in sequence.
Much better than paying $60-$100 for a Honda dealership to do it for you. Good luck!
