Yep, I'm a taxi driver now, at least until the whole military thing pans out or not. the money is decent, it pays the bills, so can't complain. hopefully it picks up in the summer to get some extra cash for the accord.

anyways, its a new company, and our business grows each day, its a lot of fun if your a people person and like to drive, which i am that kind of guy!
i drive an executive limo, basically its a fully loaded Lincoln with an 8" stretch, heated leather seats, complimentary water and news papers.
Were trying to be more like a limo service at a taxi rate. it makes sense since our mother company is a limo service company.

My dad was a cab driver at the end of his life. His friend owned the company, and gave him work when he needed a second job. Of course, it was in Camden NJ... so not exactly the best area. You've got a better gig!

I don't get jealous of anyone usually. Not their cars (we all know what I drive) and not their jobs (I get paid to play with electronics and talk to people) But FUCK man... I gotta say I'm a bit jealous now!! I'd drive that cab all fuckin day!!

How does getting paid work as a taxi driver? What do you make an hour? Tips? How much? Do you pay for gas? Get reimbursed? What if the cab breaks down?

Sorry for the barrage of questions, I just don't know much about it and it seems like a great job!

Its not so bad out here, the most dangerous thing about my job is all the seniors i give rides to, they are mosty 99% nice, the others are a pain in the ass.

how it works, i split my daily earnings 80/20, i take the 80, i pay for gas, keep all tips and if the cab breaks down its on the company...does that explain it.
also in a day if I'm not on calls i am allowed to chill at my apartment and do whatever i want till they call me, sometimes I'll nap and other times I'll hop on the computer like today and read posts in CB7tuner. either way its cush.

so in a day i could make 100+ then add the tips. but its so wild you can't calc a month based on any day, in the last month I've had days where i clear $200, and I've had days where I've made $40. it all depends on what time of the month it is. the first week of the month i make more than half my total months pay. the rest slowly go down.
so far a month averages $2200-2500, summer will hopefully be more around $3200-3500

i do that already, adding nos would be a 2 min ride! j/k, to be honest people don't care about driving fast, just taking the most direct route slowly and safely is what they really want. plus i usually don't start the meter until we've started to roll and I'm pointed in the right direction.

Yeah we do pick ups and drop offs at all major airports in the bay area and sacto, its great money, i love doing them.

Cool man. I worked as a cab driver for about a week when I moved out here. I got to pimp a Buick Century and a Kia Sedona lol.

Decent job, but then I realized I didn't have the proper licence and my boss was a tard so I left for another job.
