New Jersey: You've Gotta Be F-CK-NG Kidding!

I hope they enact a similar law for senior citizens, since it's only fair.

Have you ever driven in NJ?

Honestly though... I drive for a living in this state. Oddly enough, the MOST troublesome drivers are NOT teenagers. In fact, I can't think of a single teenager in recent memory that has done anything dangerous in my presence (maybe a few racing around...) It's the middle-aged adults that weave in and out of traffic, cut people off, tailgate, talk on their phones, come to COMPLETE FUCKING STOPS on a 45mph road because they're not sure where they're going... Today, I nearly rear-ended a guy who did just that. Yesterday, a douchebag in a minivan cut me off with no signal... when I flipped him off, he tailgated me, and tried to box me in the lane. Yesterday morning, a guy blew a yield sign and nearly hit me... then got out of his car and tried to fight me. All between the ages of 40 and 60.

Although I agree that it's wise to have warning signs to show new drivers (Japan has done this for years... )
It's also leaning towards age discrimination. How many cops are going to hassle kids that are displaying this decal?

I think drivers over 75 have to display it.

Honestly, that DOES make sense. A lack of experience, a lack of perception, and a lack of reaction time... It's good for people to be aware of what's around them.

BUT, it also makes things harder in terms of equality in law enforcement.

Another case of people saying, "Teenagers crash the most, let's punish them."

It said how so many were killed in accidents. I wonder how many of those were hit by drunk drivers, or had vehicle failure. But why mention that, right?

True. Teenagers also often drive old, beat up cars, with outdated safety features. It's much more likely for a 92 Cavalier that cost $500 to fail or result in serious injury than it is a 2007 Accord.

The Wakaba symbol, or the big P on the plates, makes more sense than this little red dot.

The dot is for cops to see. Regular drivers aren't going to be warned of an inexperienced driver in nearly enough time for it to matter with this little decal. This really IS so cops can hassle young drivers.

I'm gonna be a bitch and start taking them off of cars. This will be overturned soon enough when parents get sick of shelling out $100 every time the neighborhood mischief makers decide to steal the stickers.
