we used to have some crappy ass company called Adelphia out here in Cincy. Their cable internet sucked major donkey balls. I'd get disconnected frequently when playing MMORPGs or i'd lag like heck when playing CS.

well i got rid of them and switch to ADSL with the local phone company. no problems since.

I had adelphia where i live. Comcast bought them out. I never have had a problem with either companies. Always fast speeds and always reliable.

I had Verizon DSL for a little while. PEICE OF SHIT. it dropped it when it rained and it was slow as shit.

I've had Comcast since 2001... For the most part, no complaints! Of course, my best friend worked for them up until this year (he just got laid off, after 10 years!) so any problems I had just took a quick call from him to correct

i had cablevision for like 10 yrs, never a problem and once in a blue it would get a hicup here and there, but would unplug the modem and then restart and work fine. Speeds are great!! Friends always tell me to switch to FIOS. I'll pass more money for what? i am happy with my speeds. My sister has commcast and doesn't seem to have problems with it.

I've got COX. My parents have had them for cable providers for the past. erm, i dunno, 15 years or so. as soon as they offered digital telephone and high speed internet they switched. I had the same modem for the past seven years and never had an issue until about two weeks ago. guy came out this morning and said there were "poor signal ratings" coming from the grid outside. He replaced them. No everything's working good as new. So far, no time outs.

              fingers crossed

              EDIT:

On a positive note, I really like the little Digi guy. Cox's current mascot.

Cute little guy. He reminds me of Dampachi!
