I believe for the most part there was more of a demand for them here in the states so thats why most of them are manufactured from here than from Japan. Honeslty IMO same stuff just built closer to home. People just find ways to segregate themselves from others.

I can see it now, theres probably going to be some huge argument over whos is better. Before this happens, keep in mind, were all still a family. All CB7 love on this site. Thats why CB7 is in the vin, no matter where it was made. JHMCB7 or 1HGCB7

Ok, here's how it works for Accords....

U.S. - all V6's, all 2drs, and 65% of 4dr/4cyl's
Japan - 25%
Mexico - 10% (6th & 7th gens only)

Also, an interesting fact that I learned recently when I was at Honda school....Honda has the highest percentage (I think its 79%) of U.S. built parts than any other car manufacture in the U.S. including domestics. I just find that funny.

Yea i also think that Accords made in the US rust more than the ones made in Japan.

I agree, my 90 was assembled in the US and the 1/4 panel is rusted out. Maybe the body parts manufactuers were different, but all major components were made by the same Japanese supplier.

It seems the newer Accords have more problems because of fewer imported parts. Example 98 Accord tranny problems.
