We're living the good doctor's dream here. Black and white (and asian, and hispanic, and whatever else we have on here... we're a diverse bunch!) all cool together. It really is great to see that a 6 page thread can be made about something that often causes trouble, and not a single person gets upset.

Consumption Junction was a bit harsh on the MLK Jr day they called it Happy N****r Day which pissed me off but oh well

My friend is Ghanaian... Well, his parents are. He's first generation. It's funny, when people talk about slavery and stuff, and ask his opinion, he says "I don't care! My people were with the white folks, selling the slaves to them from Ghana!" It's interesting that almost all Americans assume that all black people descended from slaves...

And yeah, I agree about Consumption Junction. That wasn't cool at all, even for them. When you don't know who you're going to offend, you should have at least SOME tact!

eh, u can't really get mad at sites like that. Its kinda like getting mad at southpark. They make fun of anything and everything with barely any holds barred. Alot of sites do it for the shock factor...and its just to get you riled up and offended

yeah south park does it faithfully, pull race cards, but then....its my favor animated show.
i mean, we pass the age where someone should get upset over race issues.
i can see hate/ race crimes, and stuff similar but like lil comments or even jokes like on south park, shouldnt upset folks.....its 2005..lol.

why should i get up out my sit for a lady....shit...i got Arthritis and bursitis in both my knees and plus....its 2005, when are the men gona be offered sits, just had to vent a lil on that....lol.
but yeah i still get up every now and then, and yes a 24 year old can have arthritis, was diagnosed with it 2 years ago....i need a hug....lol.

people get upset over lil jokes race realated.....but thats what they are, jokes, shouldnt get offend if u kno its not true.
i mean, my ex-contract owners for the company i work for said to someone im a ghetto boy (either they said it or my supervisor, we dont get along well) i said to them...not gettin mad cause yeah im from the ghetto, but i said, next time they say something like that to u make sure they get it right, not ghetto boy, but im a ghetto man now.
but main thing is times has changed folks must change with it

i didn't read everything so forgive me, but just want to chime my thoughts..

in this world we is, and will probably forever have some type of barrier, whether it be based on ethnics, background, likes, dislikes, philospohy etc etc.. just remember that just cuz an ethnic is portrayed to have gone through struggles doesn't mean another ethnic, jap, *****, etc whatever has not gone through struggles as well, in fact i'm sure a lot of other people around the world has gone through probs.. but perhaps in 'america' where african americans? blacks? are portrayed most in our minds to have struggled the most and stuff like that.. just chiming in for minorities out there ..

i also see A LOT of people jumping in on bandwagon like 'not racists', but in turn talk or ridicule or have negative affects towards certain ethnics... (i hope this comment doesn't create a stir, and i apoligize if so, but i'm just saying)

oh ya, though people may see the 'only those who've been through it understand' as alienation and what not, it isn't true, cuz it's just how it is.. we can't always understand what each one of us goes through, but if we see eachother for what it's worth, our insides, our insights, then it's cool...

i just hope that people don't forget that other people out there have gone through tough times as well, regardless of race..and that no matter what you may say about how you feel towards a certain race, (good to the public eye of course, but those who choose not to (because it is stupid to discrim) to take experiences, encounters aside..
