AEM is also an American company based in California... not at all JDM (unless of course, you purchased an AEM product that was sold in Japan...)

K&N....are you kidding me??? Dude...INJEN is Japanese. The rest....well, they arent

Due to the overwhelming demand of their products in the US, Injen has also opened a Japanese division to supply Japan's burgeoning tuner community.

Injen is ALSO an American company, based out of California. They started in 1981 as RD Metalworks, making intake systems for other companies.

Why do you need a JDM intake?

JDM means Japanese Domestic Market. All it means is that the part was sold in Japan. Buy your AEM intake used from some dude that bought it at Super Autobacs in Tokyo, and you'll have yourself a JDM intake.

There is no such thing as a JDM intake that is CARB exempt... because JDM things are made for the JAPANESE MARKET! And CARB is the California Air Resources Board. No company is going to make a product that conforms to California laws to be sold in Japan.

And before anyone asks... Fujita is based in California as well. (isn't it amazing what you can learn when you put company names into Google?)

The actual written link is still accurate, so if you cut and paste, you can see what this thread is REALLY about.

I am aware that Injen is a CA company. I was stating that they opened up a market in Japan, so techically he "could" have a "JDM intake"
