Dude, I had a 1ga Talon. Ended up having over 400 to the wheels....you think a CB7 could take me, while I was raping STi's and Evo's? Hahaha.

Stock 1ga with the 4g63-T, you're looking around 195bhp. If it's AWD like mine was, you'll be smoked like a bratwurst. Can't vouch for the FWD, but I'm assuming a BOOSTED DSM vs. N/A CB7....you'd lose.

Auto DSM turbo....dude, you really don't stand a chance and here's why:

They will be at full boost in every gear....the shift is so quick that you don't lose any boost. You're toast.

A CB7 is roughly the same weight, and has significantly less power. The only way you will win is if the Talon is in REALLY bad shape, or the driver doesn't know which pedal to push. If it's AWD, he'll take you off the line. If it's FWD, he's much lighter. Either way, you don't stand a chance. Drivetrain losses with an auto are more than manual, and AWD saps a good deal of power as well... but he's putting down so much more than you that he still has a considerable advantage.


I raced a slightly modified 1st gen Eclipse GSX with my H22 once. I gave it all I had. He had a boost leak. He walked on me. We talked afterward, and he said he was impressed by how well I kept up... but I wasn't even close to winning.
