whats up guys ive found a 1998 prelude with the h22a4 engine still inside. was going to ask what can i use of the car to upgrade my cb7 like brakes, etc. the motor is going for 188 and im thinking about getting it and saving it for a future project. so what should i take from the prelude.

Anything and everything you can! Lol I cant ever find Ludes in the junkyard here. They are so uncommon its unreal. Good find.

You see models at every car show.
But have you ever seen a model that actually takes the car she built to a show?

Id say, check the mileage on it since it doesnt have the looks of it having been wrecked, odds are the motor went on it. BUT, that doesnt take away the great price on the engine, so take what you can, afterall, its an A4, USDM ftw! It'll prolly cost you as much to get another complete used one, but you'll have new parts.

      Take these at least:
      -Whats left of the A4
      -5lug swap
      -Rear hubs
      -Cluster
      -Interior pieces

i personally wouldnt use that motor unless you were using it for a full build. being out in the elements with the hood and valve cover off like that is definately not a good thing for the steel parts inside of there. that being said, you should definately still buy it. a bare head is worth a decent amount, and the same with a bare block. you can keep it on a stand or just in the corner and gradually buy the parts to rebuild it until you have a full motor ready to drop in.

the head is worth more than the block. block probably has a rod knock or worn sleeves and needs to be rebuilt.

Grab anything you think looks decent, that's what I'd do. It's impossible to find a BB here
