Craigslist fraud, anyone wanna mess with them??

So I saw this listing: Craigslist item

Traced the vin to this dealer: Dealer listing

I emailed and received this response:

    Hi,
I see that you are interested in purchasing my car: 2003 Honda CR-V EX
You must know that the car is in showroom condition, always garaged, it has never been involved in any accident and has neither scratches nor rust. The engine runs perfect and the interior is immaculate since nobody has ever smoked in the car. There are no further investments required. The title is clear and there are no loans on it. I have all the legal documents by which I can transfer the title to your name.I`m a single mother with 2 children because I divorced my husband. After the divorce I got this car but I don`t need it and that`s why i`m selling it so cheap. The total price is $3,400 including shipping and handling. The sale will be through eBay's Protection Program for our safety. I have recently move to Canada after the divorce and I took the car with me, that is why i am sending it from here.I just need your full name, address and phone number so i can open a case. After ebay will contact you with the rest of the details. If you agree let me know a.s.a.p.

    Here are a few pictures:

I'd call the dealership, and let them know someone is trying to sell a vehicle for them.

Hate to say it, but it does sound like a scam.

The email said it had never been in an accident, the autocheck report showed otherwise.

I called the dealer and the guy acted like I was inconveniencing him about it, but he did verify that the crv is no longer on his lot, they sold it a week back. Said he sold it for around $13k

email the dealership the CL add!

Some dealerships are just asses, this one seems to be one, I would be happy as hell if someone informed me about something like this.

Well they already sold the vehicle last week so they don't care anymore is pretty much what he told me: "no longer any concern of mine".

Ummm why are some of you acting like this isn't happening constantly? There are 1000 new ones every day. That's what they do...steal the pictures and pretend they have the car. You send them the money through wire or whatever and they don't give you shit. It's the opposite when THEY try to buy the car from YOU and have their "shipper" pick the car up....few days later the "certified check" bounces. Dude, it's been around for a loooong time now.
