Be sure you and the rest of your family are there for him (I don't doubt that you will be), and be sure he knows it's not his fault. Accidents happen. This was a terrible one, but he isn't to blame for it.
    Couldnt have said it better.

Dan, glad he made it out alive but im sure he'll begoing through alot the next few months and his family will probably have some resentment towards him. Hopefully they see it was an accident and will not make it harder for him.

That definitely wasn't right of them to print that on the front page.

I've lost many people that I've cared about in my past, but never in a tragic situation such as that. I fought with my father the night he died, but for some reason, I felt it was important to make up before I left for the night. His death was sudden, and tragic... but I have no personal regrets. I can't imagine what your brother must be going through. Even though he knows it was an accident, even though he knows that he did nothing wrong, I can't imagine that he'd ever be able to truly accept that he wasn't in some way responsible. Hopefully he'll be able to let it go. He was driving. He was the one to make the decision to go the way he did. However, it wasn't careless. It was something that he had done for a long time, and something that was supposed to have been safe according to his experience and best judgment.

It's definetely going to take some time to heal. He saw some of her family today and her body was recovered today and so far they are pinning the blame on him, but I know that he can't help but feel responsible. Sorry to hear about your dad.
