Missing tool?

Do any of you guys here have a problems with missing tools when your trying to work your car? doesn't just piss you off when u can't find the right one!

It freaking makes me mad as fuck! As I'm working on F22A4 to rebuild and i cant find my god dam 12MM or my 3/8 down sizer to take the head off

yes.. I do. You know what the solution is? It's to be a hard ass about your tools. The only way I can get my tools safe is to keep them in my room all the time until I use them. Only when I get married and move out can I keep my tools truly safe.

At home it happens to me all the time.
At work I have everything much more organized so the only tools I loose are the ones I leave in customers cars

I want to create a "Honda Toolkit"... that has nothing but the most commonly used tools in it. I got the biggest Craftsman ratchet set I could find, and it's been nothing but a hassle. I use 1/4 of the tools in that box. It's heavy to carry around, nothing stays where it belongs, and I keep losing stuff in the mess.

Yeah i have done that it was funny thing to cuz when my car broke down on the side of the road and didnt have to tools i went to to look at the engine and found to 3 tools i needed lmao

I have a "honda toolkit" for when i go to the junkyard. I just put 8, 10, 12, 14, 17, and sometimes 19mm sockets, 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2" drive ratchets, and assorted screwdrivers and a prybar, in a small toolbox. That stuff and wirecutters are all I need. Nice and lightweight.

Of course When I want to get parts for my truck, I gotta bring a whole assortment of standard and metric sockets. Never know what that size could be, the truck was built in the 80's when GM was transitioning from standard fasteners to metric.

whats even worse is: you're missing that specific tool, in my case the black magnetic screwdriver that came w/ my 95 piece Craftsman tool box, and I CAN'T get a replacement one! No matter what, Sears doesn't sell that specific one by itself that fits in my tool box.

Oh yeah, and my tool box itself...the nice rugged ABS plastic one that came w/ the tools is starting to break, one of the ears on the hinges snapped off and now when i pop it open, the lid just flys off lol. I wish I could just buy a new plastic case for it.

well when you work on cars for a living, and have to buy them off the tool truck(snap-on, matco, or cornwell)...you learn to keep up with them...$35 for a socket gets old. lol
