    How strong is your grip?

So I went to the mall the other day and they had two different machines there. You drop a quarter in and then when it tells you to, you squeeve two handles together for 10 seconds or so and it lights up and says how "strong" you are. For example, one was a robot shape and it had things like "average human" or "bionic grip" and shit like that.

I maxed both machines out, and it gave me a score of 370...I am sure the score means nothing in terms of how many lbs of force you can grip.

But my question is, do any of you know what your grip strength is? I have used the grippers from the store before...they are hardly a challenge. I ended up ordering the IWF Vice Gripper which can generate something to the sound of 400 lbs of resistance. So it will be interesting to see how I measure up.

The easiest way to measure your squeeze force is to take the bathroom scales and squeeze it as hard as you can with both hands while watching the dial.

Dammit, you beat me to it!

My grip is probably pretty weak. I was never all that strong. Working on building strength now, but I have a long way to go.

You can buy those hand/finger exercises that have a separate spring-loaded "button" for each finger. They come in different strengths and actually work amazingly. I used one during rock climbing class and my grip improved tremendously.]

I have the blue one somewhere. I got it when I was a kid to strengthen my fingers for playing guitar.

Then I realized the best way to do that is to PLAY GUITAR!

I have used those...didnt find them very challenging. nor do I find the regular grippers challenging. I got the Vice Gripper because it has 40 adjustments that you can make, all the way to over 300 lbs of resistance.

I am planning to use bone crushers or captain crush grippers after I max this vice gripper out. Bone Crushers go up to 500lb of resistance. I have also used the Dynaflex gyro ball and gotten it up to 15,000rpm for a constant 2 minutes. Your forearms feel like steel cables afterwards lol.

But yes, i am sure the whacking off helped tremendously.

i took this big ass c clip from this quick change rear end and it is about 3 inches in diameter and as soon as i took it out of the hole, the c clip flew off and hit the wall at about 200mphs. (and my dumbass wasnt wearing safety glasses)

so yea, i can compress a c clip that can fly at 200mph
