I caught the newbie (23 months old) discovering his first drinking fountain at the wife's grandmother's 80th birthday party. It was so hard not to laugh, but I didn't want him to know I was there.

That's great! You can tell he'll be successful in life, he never gave up and kept trying to figure out and think through how to get what he wanted, smart kid!My Member's Ride Thread

Jon, i dont know whats funnier; him trying to figure it out, his little outfit or the fact that at only 23 months old, he already thinks buttons are automatic.

His mind is thinking...
"Ok, push the button, touch water..."
"wtf ?"
"lets do this again, push button,... touch water "
"whaaa...?"
"lets try another button, push it, now touch the water"
"this isn't making any sense ?!?1 "
"Push button, touch water. Push button touch water. Push button, touch water"
"!"

He recognized the button.
Pushed it, saw the water.
Wanted the water.
It took 2 rounds of quick frustrated pushes for him to see that the water squirted quickly with each push.
I think the final attempt was just him trying to get leverage... as he stood on his toes, he let go, probably because he'd push himself over if he kept pushing!
He took what he knew and what he observed and applied it to understand something new.
Smart kid you have there, Jon!
