I know it's a really old thread, but I've thought about this a lot, usually at Import alliances. It really just depends on the car. I mean, with a 240, I would probably do a front and rear end conversion on the thing, why? Because i like the headlights and tail lights of the s13 and s14 better, but on the s13, you have to have the silvia badges to complete the front end.
Now where it annoys me, is where all the tsx guys slap honda badges on and the euro-r badges on and all that good stuff, but then I look inside the car and the big fat acura emblem on the steering wheel is starring you in the face. I mean, I know oem import steering wheels are expensive, but if you're going to do the conversion do it right.Comment

So what about my S spec badge and my SH wheels on my Prelude base?
Given I don't go around telling people that it is an S spec, or an SH. I put the badge on because I wanted to throw people off, lol. And I love the SH wheels.
And I've seen a V6 mustang and a older Sentra with GT-R badges on them. It was terrible.

So what you're saying is if you came across a car with an Autozone "TURBO" logo on it, you wouldn't call it rice if it was clearly NON-TURBO and had a big wing and shit on it? What about a Nissan Frontier with a 4x4 and TURBO logo on the door when it's not even NISMO edition....there's one right here in the parking lot at work. The s-spec and the usdm base is almost identical, except that the car isnt RHD, didn't come with gangster red interior and an S-spec motor and tranny.
however i like the black leather seats better instead of the red ones. if you've seen an s-spec interior its a hate it or love it type of deal.
Its not like comparing fwd lancers vs lancer evo's. you can totally tell the difference between an lancer and evo.

i seen a freaking mustang v6 with a big ass wing, believe or not the vtec sticker on the sides, chrome hood scoop, and the walmart TURBO LOGO on the rear, and dual exhaust with the mufflers that we usually use

Bottom line is the car is what it was built with. No matter what you change the actual car was already "christened" with a model. IMO I think its better to not put anything on your car and let someone find out the hard way.
