Who's power antenna actually still works?

I found a working one in the j/y... loved it. So cool how it stays up for a few seconds after you turn the car off, then nicely lowers and conceals itself as you walk away.

That only lasted a year though, I had to unplug it because it would simply grind and grind trying to pull the thing down.

Really wish it still worked though, you guys that still have working ones are lucky.

Mine works got it off a JY car a few months back, put a new mast on it and it worked like new!

mine works, but sticks occasionally, in time it will get shaved for a newer RL skarkfin.

its not a grease thing, more like a teeth thing, when it goes up it keeps clicking once at the top, and when it comes down and is all the way in it clicks more like the motor thinks its still got more to go. i have a 92 mast with a 91 motor, that could be my issue. but overall it works.

4 CB's and 2 only work and one of them is aftermarket

OP is your motor not working, or the aerial broken?

I think the motor gave out long ago. The aerial itself is still intact, I just pushed it all the way down, and now it's hangin' out. I bought the car with it in a non-functional state. Not a big deal though, I rarely use my tuner anyway, just have the iPod interface. But there are those occasional days where I just want to switch on npr to follow up on current events and if I'm going long distance it's also nice to have it then.

I'll eventually get to it, was just curious.

Mine worked. I need a new one though. The aerial is broken off.

Mine worked until I forgot to connect the power antenna wire when I installed my headunit.

mine works perfectly, watch the vid haha. I just lube it w/ lithium grease every 3 months or so. Just slather it on there, make it go up and down a couple times to work in the grease and then wipe it off. Lithium grease is good b/c it fights friction for a smoother operation.
