Tint once and never have to again?

so i have seen ads everywhere on craigslist, local shops ,etc.. that now they offer lifetime warranty on their tint jobs.

so how does this work? do they really mean that once it is on, it will never bubble up? or they mean that if it bubbles up, you can have it replaced for free?

    what are they exactly saying?

You kind of answered your own question lol. Nothing should happen with the tint but in the event that it does, they'll fix it for free.

      isnt that stupid for business?

you pay them for one job and you can come back as soon as you spot a flaw?

When it's done right the first time with quality materials they won't have to worry about you using your warranty for a long time.

If you put Tint on half retarted it bubbles up, if you put it on Professionally it does not .

now i see, cause my car was tinted back when we first bought it in 90. it had bubbles now on it after 10 yrs. it was garage kept for most of its years.

if they had lifetime warranty back then that would be awesome.

anyone now know about how much to take off the tint and retint nowadays?

but what if the place you got the tint at closes down, that would suck. lifetime warranty would mean nothing if you cant find them. to think of it, its sounds pretty good to get business.

nah man tint is so cheap..we used to do it up here and you can get a box of 35% tint for like 150 bucks and its good shit too..then we charged people 120-200 bucks depending on how many windows are shit. we could like 6 cars off 1 roll....do the math

Also, tint will fade with time.

                  At least mine has...

Id like to know just what they cover. If a window breaks and you need it tinited again, will they do it for free or cheap or will they charge you full price?

Tinting is one of those things that doesnt take alot of brains to do. Learn to do it right and you wont have to worry about it being a shitty job.

Normally the only way a warranty would cover something is if it was messed up due to something they did or are responsible for because of them installing it wrong.

I wasnt pretty sure of that, but do you think theyd redo the new window for cheap since you have a warranty or do you think theyd charge you the standard shop price for 1 window?

I would think they would do it for cheap unless they were just assholes. With the right shop they may even do it for free considering your window got busted. I'd hope for at least a discount with it being only one window. Then again it may be covered. I guess it'd just depend on the shop and their warranty. Free is always good though lol.

Ive had my lifetime tint on my car for about 4 years now and I can see just a tiny little hint of purple in it. Like you have to look really really hard to see it. And my 2 front windows are messed up and need to be redone.

The place that tints my cars offers a lifetime no fault warranty. If I scratch it myself, they fix it free.

And if you think that's bad for business, they've tinted 4 of my vehicles and have done work for 3 of my friends. As 92jdm stated that's how people run successful shops.

cheap tint film fades over time and turns purple. Quality tint film(like 3M) does not fade. This was told to me by a Pro Tint Guy
