They're pretty good machines. They're a higher end laptop.

I've got a Studio 1555. Its a badass laptop. I got it during that black friday sale at Staples in Nov. for $599. Pretty sweet setup, its got the 9 cell batt(7 hrs on a single charge), 500GB HD and 4 gigs of ram, Core2Duo T6600 like the one you're getting and it came w/ a midnight blue colored housing. Windows 7 on it is pretty fast too. MUCH MUCH faster than my XP i had before on my 2005 Dell Insprion 6000. Even got a free HP 4 in 1 wireless printer buying this laptop that day (well $5 bucks lol), so it was one hellava deal.

Its a great computer, not one problem w/ it at all. Loads/installs programs quickly too. I had it up and running and w/in 30 min I was surfing the web and all that great stuff. Stays cool, so the cooling fans dont kick on and off constantly. Screen is BRIGHT, almost too bright, but you can adjust the dimness of it. Has a CD slot drive, like in car CD players, so no stupid holder to break.

i got a 1750 no problems. My dads got the 1550. Got no problems except for the speakers popping but if uve read reviews u already know that, but its not enough to bother me. Love the comp. go for it.
