Thats COMPLETELY bad ass. I wish it were easy to register jdm cars in california.

Eventually, when the rest of the nation goes along with California. Who ever owns that is going to be SOL.

          Bad ass, none the less!

I'm wondering how the guy managed to legally import it. It's a 1993 model, so it's subject to EPA and DOT regulations. This Starlet was never sold in the US, and there is no US equivalent (the Tercel and Paseo would be the closest relatives sold in the US). Therefore, there is no valid crash-test data for that car. Fully legalizing the car without the crash test data would be impossible. The only thing I can think of is that he imported it before those laws were fully in effect.

I'm wondering WHY he imported a little FWD thing, Yeah, Starlets are pretty cool, and that truly is a beauty... But still. It weighs like 1800lbs, from what I can find, so that's pretty good... similar power as a Civic Si, but a good 400-500lbs or so lighter.
