I just reformatted, and planned on getting all my stuff back from suprnova... I freaked when it went down! At least I got my antivirus before it did. Packetnews allowed me to get my Initial D collection again though! WooHoo!

A torrent is a way of sharing files via the "bit torrent" client... and other similar programs. Basically, one person "seeds" the file, or makes it availible. They usually provide a link on certain sites, like the late suprnova.org ( ) Once people start downloading from the seeder, they become seeders themselves... or that's how it's set up to work. As long as one person has the whole file and leaves the program open, the file will continue to be shared.

Thanks Deev, So when people have or detect torrents while downloading let's say a video is that bad? I remember you saying that a while back that on your computer Norton detected a torrent while you were downloading itand that people should be cautious? It might be wrong here so please excuse me. Thanks again Deev, I'm just not very computer savvy?
