Stereotypes are hard to break. Extremely hard. It takes a different mentality than most to get past certain boundaries of stereotypes. I believe that it's the mentality to better yourself no matter how difficult it may be. It's like the expression, there's the fast way and the right way of doing things. If you see an old LTD with 22" rims and huge bass coming from the trunk only to see that the inside speakers are held in place to the kick panels and rear dash/deck with zip ties and the speaker wire is ran up the middle of the car and going to a cd player that's hanging by the wires... that would not help anyone (White/Black/Hispanic/Latino/Asian) break any stereo type they may fall into.

I work with Mexicans here in St. Louis MO in a pallet factory and there has been some F-ed up stuff like you wouldn't believe . People here can't read English or speak it (ok, this is a cultural barrier) some only speak Spanish but cant read Spanish or English. These people are in charge of some machines that use upward of 5000 psi of hydraulic pressure and could crush themselves to death if they don't understand what's happening. When a airline breaks they will tie plastic wrap around the air line and knot it to try and stop the leak. 130 psi of pressure and they think that plastic wrap tied by hand is going to stop it.... I shake my head and mumble "i guess we're living in Mexico now" just out of disgust because if one person had a broken air line they should get me, I'm the mechanic in the factory and I fix everything. When there are 20 stations with leaking air lines with 3-5 places per line tied with plastic wrap, the air compressor can't keep up with the supply and the nail guns they use to fix pallets don't have enough pressure to operate. Now I've got 20 people whistling at me like I'm some sort of dog to fix their tables.

i think thats why i dont like black chicks. majority of the ones ive met and seen are ghetto chicks. ugh....the area i live in theres nothing but black ghetto chicks. if they're white girls, they're into country boys or "gangsta"

ive let people push me around all my life. now im at a job i actually like. im a manager now. im the head of a wonderful family. im 23. my high school days are over. its time to grow up. i need to be better at my job tho. if i want the top dog position, i need to get better. hopefully this time next year, ill be an assistant manager or even a store manager. i dont care if i have to become an asshole to get there. as long as people understand im looking out for my job and doing what im supposed to do, im happy. lol.

actually, since the last store manager got fired, a few people have been saying ive become an asshole. ive moved to the dark side. well. no one else up there is looking out for my job. so i have to. one guy KINDA does but he only does it because it'll benefit him in the future. he even told me "i dont do anything in this store unless it benefits me somehow." well....that'll end soon enough....
