Man i LOVE that article! it made me feel all good inside that I'm a proud owner of one for over 6 yrs.

I see it this way, if people are willing design mounts for a K24 engine in our cars, technology from modern 2003+ cars....in cars that are almost 20 yrs old, then I'd say Honda designed this generation of cars completely right. These cars will last foeva!

        Issues I've had:

        - My fault: Hit fence post. Ruined door and fender.
        - 50/50: Car threw out a CEL, hesitated. Changed plugs.
        - Not my fault: Oil leak from oil pan gasket. Old owner sucked on working on cars.
        - Not my fault: Master brake cylinder leaked and stopped working. Got one installed... $200 later.
        - Not my fault: Brake calipers were stupid. One side worked, other didn't. Then a while later, it's the opposite. Then rotors got fucked... Got new rotors and calipers... $630 later...
        - Not my fault: TCU fried. Copped one from junkyard and ran like new haha.
        - Not my fault: Odometer/tripometer stopped rolling. BB6 cluster ftw.
        - Kinda my fault: Flat tire after a few days of the Borbets being on. That's what happens when you get used tires...

Agreed. This article made me have a warm, fuzzy feeling. And I can't wait till we can get the K24s in our cars.

                      Yep

EVERY problem I have had with a CB was a result of mods

Even Cisco, the maintenance master, killed his DX with mods (though the motor already had 200K miles on it).

A bone stock, relatively low mileage CB can ride like a new car.

yea but if you dont change stuff in the car and if it does develop a problem. you wont know where to start.

it pisses me off because i poured money into my car and people have the nerve to offer me 1500 dollars. then again, i shouldnt speak...i want to get into volkswagen. that's the beater LOSER right there...

I've owned 2 vw's with vr6s a e30 BMW and 3 cb7's. If you plan on buying an older vw ( or even a relativly new one) keep the cb for a daily. Trust me!

Also, get a vr. You can throw a couple thousand $s at a 1.8t and have a pretty quick vw, but there is no comparison to the sound, torque, and overall experience of driving a well put together vr. I miss my mk2 swapped vr badly
