Got some problems with my dogs fighting

I got this English Bulldog from my nephews dad and shes VERY dominant. Shes been spayed and I dont think she has been around other dogs. Plus shes about 7 years old. Well she wants to hump my German Shepard mix and he doesnt like that shit a damn bit. He is also neutered. Im not an animal abuser before somebody starts accusing me by the way. When they go to fight I usually pop Clia (the bulldog) really hard on her ass and she wont stop. So she obviously is very tolerant of pain. So the next day is round 2. I tried introducing them again. They still wanna fight. This time they are really pissed at each other so I pepper spray Clia because shes obviously the one starting shit and Jack (the shep mix) is trying to get away from her. She lets go and she goes whining all over the house and Im about to die from the pepper spray. So round 3 today, still more fighting. Now I am down to a shock collar. I have been messing around on ebay and I cant seem to find a decent one. Clia is so damn tough that a regular training collar isnt going to affect her. I need something cheap but will put her on her ass. Does anybody have any ideas or alternatives of a shock collar. I hate to be mean and shock her but she is going to have to get along with the other dogs. Thats the last thing I wanna do.

The only option you have is to get rid of both your dogs as you are obviously incapable of keeping animals.

Why in the world would you pepper spray an animal? That is not an accepted form of discipline.

You obv know its wrong since you had to warn us that you are not an animal abuser.

Do us all a favor, and stay clear from pets....its not for everyone.

For one thing I found a few articles on the internet about using pepper spray if a dog starts fighting. If you ask me my low power pepper spray is a hell of a lot safer than an electric shock. And I kinda cant get rid of the dogs.

And for the information of you fuckers calling me an animal abuser, Im not beating the dogs randomly just for fun. Ill own up to the pepper spray being mistreatment but im not about to get into the middle of 2 dogs fighting. Clia is absolutely fine and the pepper spray only messed her up for like a total of 30 minutes. It also never got in her eyes and only on her nose. But after I washed her face really good with some dog soap and gave her eye drops just in case she is absolutely fine.

Now will somebody answer my damn question. Im trying to get these dogs to quit fighting. There are old school methods but I refuse to use them.

i told you a method, grab the dog by the collar and physically remove them.

if the dog bites you(wich it shouldnt), then the dogs more dominant then you, fix that, hit the dog, he has to know your the boss or else he'll do whatever the fuck he wants.

i have 2 dogs, a german shepherd(mandy) and a rotweiler/shepherd(bullitt)...they play fight non stop...but every now and then, they get carried away and start trying to kill each other...all i do is walk up to them, grab bullitt by the collar, and take one good heave and pull him away and yell "STOP IT!!!" to him, keep them seperated for about 20 minutes and their fine..

          worst case scenario...you get bit...

to tell you the truth i don't think they will ever stop fighting...the chances really narrow when one of the dogs isn't used to sharing a home with another dog....i had a 2 year old chihuahua that was basically the alpha male in the house...my mom was given an older pug and my dog aint like it one bit...my chihuahua prolly would killed that pug if i didn't keep em in my room...you might find a way to calm that dog down but in my experience it never happend...good luck with the dogs tho...

or if you've got the time to kill...

grab your brother/sister/friend...anyone really, and take the dogs for walks at the same time, you have your dog, friend with the other dog, if the dogs are walking together, let them get used to each other slowly....

oh yeah...another important thing...KEEP THEIR WATER AND FOOD BOWLS AWAY FROM EACH OTHER...buggers will kill each other over their food when their eating..

Pepper spray may not have been a very good idea. That can really fuck a dog up for a few hours. Stick to the shock collar till she's trained.

Good call on keeping food seperate. Different rooms would be best I think.

Oh I keep them seperated for now. But does anybody have a good idea as far as a shock collar? Im not using that pepper spray again because I got a good dose of it myself and I didnt even touch it. I couldnt stop coughing and gagging for at least 2 hours. I would hate to have gotten it in my eyes full contact.

i was gonna say just hose them down or get a water bottle full of water ans spray their face but if they can take mace never mind. usually all you gotta od is get the thing they fear right in front of them and they will stop. beanbags, water, anything loud, etc i dont own big dogs anymore and i never will (other than a husky)

my grandma has one of those lil fuckin yappy kinda dogs...so she bought a shock collar for it...kept her quiet for about 6 months...then i guess she finally got used to the shock...now she just yapps all day again with the shock collar still on...

only let the dogs be around each other for a few minutes at a time....then slowly let them be around each other for maybe 15 minutes....then 30 minutes...once you reach an hour you should be good..

Well I think I figured out what I need to do. I let Clia smell the pepper spray can and she backed away and got memories from yesterday. So now every time shes a bad girl I show her the pepper spray can and she stops in her tracks. That makes me upset that shes like that now but it fucking works. But I can promise, after as much as I suffered from yesterday I dont think I can even spray a threatening human being with that shit. I dont know if any of yall have been near that shit but my throat started to close up and burn and I came no where near it. Trust me I got what I deserved for sprayin the dog.
