Don't knock the Sunfire! If you replace the engine, transmission, suspension, chassis, and interior with parts from a BMW M3, they can be VERY potent cars!

I know a BMW dealer that can do that for you for about 60k.

Pontiacs are great for extreme customization work like that. I did it with my GTP. I swapped out the thirsty V6 for a fuel efficient 4 cylinder. Replaced the crap automatic with a 5 speed. I swapped out the cramped rear for a hatchback. Replaced the suspension with a much sportier one, and shed about 1000lbs. The shop that did it for me was amazing, too. They only took about 3 hours to do the entire conversion! I was so happy with their work that I let them keep all my old parts. They even gave me $3400 for the scrap metal that I left behind!

I'm thinking like... The Transporter. THAT kind of "tough guy"... But the 7 series in the original Transporter movie doesn't quite cut it for me. Close, but I think there's somethig better.

EXACTLY. that's why I went with audi.

I have a hard time looking at Audi and not seeing VW, though...

Although the S8 doesn't make me think VW in any way!
