Yes, that's what I suppose. I'm quite sure of that, actually... I'm just not finding anything, other than the hijackthis log with that one item above.

I think I may have gotten rid of the viruses, but something was changed, or a remnant remains that is causing the problem. That's why nothing is being found, but the problem persists.

My father says hes never had or heard of anything like that of his 26 years as a computer technician for the navy/electric company.

He said what i posted in my last post. He said for him to figure it out its one of those things he needs to be at the computer to mess with it to fix it
You don't have to like what he did, but I would hope that you can appreciate the time, money and love that went in to the build. If you can't, you're not really an enthusiast, just another dumb kid with a car.-visualpoet
Money and Knowledge are never in the same sentence, because people with Money think they know it all, but people with knowledge, know better.-ragingasian

That entry was it. I did the "fix selected" option on hijackthis... I didn't know that existed! It fixed/deleted it... now both browsers work again

        Thanks for the help, everyone.

Definitely. That was a huge help! Hijackthis made the log, I pasted it on the site, saw what was fishy... went back to the hijackthis program and fixed the fishy entry... problem solved
