What the hell is wrong with kids today?

No parental supervision and proper guidance. When that fails its pretty much a blunder. History often repeats itself like a mother that has dozens of kids with the father or multiples doners leaving everytime.
It begins at home when people hang on the street corners with nothing to do . Why because they have no proper guidance they look for other places to accept them because they are lost souls with no cause or purpose and worse nothing to lose. Thats a very bad influence to follow.
Alot of time you see one person doin bad so then the next person joins then because they figure its okay and its not. And then the future generation see's it and thinks its okay so it rubs off on them too and the process repeats over and over until that chain of bad habit is broken.

There are many possible causes that might contribute to the condition of the "next generation" and how they act now. Studies show that even the worst out of any generation will over time become "conservative" and will be more likely to abide by the laws of society. It's called "growing up", most people do it. It takes longer for some. This is one of my areas of interest, being that I volunteer to teach at risk high school students.
My boss is in a situation with some neighborhood kids. The kids are disrespectful and break law after law (typically nothing to extravagant). Finally, after the cops had been called so many times the kids kind of figured out that most every adult was bluffing. Adults couldn't do anything to them. So they started getting bolder and bolder. Until they did something that they could get seriously busted for, they stole some tools out of the back of my bosses truck. Thing is they didn't know there was a camera that caught them in the act. Since then they have continued to pull stupid sh*t/building a long list of things to be tried for in court. The detective said that it sounds like the kids need a wakeup call, so that's what they'll get.
The main point of that is that they have figured out that Most of adults are bluffing, so they get away with whatever they can. I think basically in doing so they lose part of their continents. One of the biggest things going against these kids is that they have no adult supervision or interaction, so where are they learning their morals? This is why FDR created the AAA during the depression. It helped keep young men busy and preoccupied in order to divert their attention from crime and use those energies in good ways.

they really need to stop stereotyping themselves. i got robbed by a group of (in sake of being proper) african american males at gun point. they roll up in their impala, all 5 point 9mm's at us and tell us to empty our pockets. me and the friends do so. the "thugs" drove off while shooting a few shots in the air. needless to say they got away with some house keys, tissues, a broken cellphone, and expired credit cards.

wft? gun shoulda been in a gun safe or at least in a hard to reach area.
And i agree with the 'this next generation is scary.'
I recently had a discussion (more of an arguement) whether or not the word n****r/n***a(no offense to anyone) is still a racial slur(and im not trying to start anything). well the way i was brought up it was. and still is. and in my opinion(and the opinion of webster) will always will be. to them it only ment ignorant and lazy. which blew my mind. the fact that young kids have no concept of racism(basically theyre ignorant. irony? i think so) or the fact that the N word is probably the most offensive word in the english language is just scary.
what do they think about violence? they see it on tv and in video games and what do they think of it? i grew up knowing that its just a game or the movie is fake. that i should never partake in it. but like stated before these kids basically have no parents. and im not talking about just the poor kids. i know middle class kids whose parents just dont give a damn. its all rather rediculous. and i blame it on over-population.

The problem with today's kids is that they don't get their asses busted enough. When a kid knew that he was going to suffer some temporary physical pain for his misdeeds, he thought twice about it. They grow up "protected" by a system that penalizes the parents for any actual working disciplinary actions and they learn that there aren't any real ramifications for their actions.
When I was a kid, you still got paddled in school, and then you got it when you got home. With so many broken homes, and so much bullshit about "positive parenting" people don't punish and/or enforce punishment on their kids. I got spanked when I deserved it as a kid, and as a parent, I've come to realize that sometimes a few firm swats on the ass can straighten a kid out right away.
I'm not talking about hitting a kid with a closed fist, or excessive anger releasing on a child, but a good spanking does wonders. There's a reason the Bible says "Spare the rod, Spoil the child."

I was spanked or punished many times as child. If i stole money or "broke the rules" i got my ass beat.
I dont care what anyone says, thats exactly what is wrong with society. People dont beat their kids enough and i think it should start up again. George Carlin said it best, but this new generation of kids are pussies. All this shit about being safe and "save the children", fuck the children! When i was a kid, childproof lighters didnt exist. When i was a kid we didnt have dvd players in our cars or all this extra bullshit kids have these days. Fuck, my mom grew up with lawndarts. When they got home from school, they went outside and played until the sun went down. They came home dirty and everything. Ive heard stories of stolen cars, sewer pipes, climbing water towers and cow tipping and i think the younger generations need to hear these stories.
Kids nowadays go unpunished AND they have videogames and DVDs and all this indoor shit, its only now, that kids are starting to get fat, that all this "GO PLAY" bullshit is coming out. When the fuck did this country fall to shit? People to used to keep a watchful eye on shit like this, but now its getting out of hand.
This is actually funny because just yesterday i was talking to my family about how anyone between the ages of 20 and 45 is having problems with anyone older than that and we're going to have trouble with anyone younger than that. Particularly the kids. Ive seen ALOT of troubled kids in the 7-12 age range. THESE are going to be our troublemakers and, quote me now, they will be a big problem in about 5 or 6 years. Sadly the generations after them, due to our overcompensating, will have it extremly hard, as we're going to want to put a stop to "that happening again".
I know I'm ranting, but its all relevant. I had it easier than the generations before me, and they had it easier than the generations before them. Unfortunately, the easier kids get it, the bigger a problem they become--unless a certain amount of punishment is allowed. Children dont know any better and will take any advantage you give them. Someone needs to control the children, lol.

Timeout in a corner (didn't exist) = Not worried, continue on
Yelled at and/or grounded = No worries, probably still worth it
Spanked or love hurting was coming my way from my dad= No f'n way!!
I'm not sure who started this whole "non-physical" treatment to kids (yes, i mean spanking, not beating), but kids take full advantage of it. A little parenting and guidance doesn't hurt either but kids can still go bad even with this.
