I turn 24 today, I do feel old. especially when I everyone I work with is 30 and up.

You DO have a grownup job... You even have a car that pretends it's a grownup car (but with a nice boosty motor turning all 4 wheels ) I still need to see that thing!


I'm not sure what to consider my job.. I'm technically self employed, so that's kinda grown up. However, I don't really have anywhere to go with it. I'm more of a scavenger, really. I take work as it falls into my lap. Going back to school soon... so I'll be a college kid until I'm as old as old-man visualpoet.

It's really not that bad. And the wife part is great! One of Snowboarder's friends found out about the age difference and told him 'Dude, your dad's a pimp!"

Why does it make you feel old to be 6+ years younger than everyone around you?

I feel like I act like them, my goals are the same, I'm pretty much married like they are. The only difference is that I have a head start on everything because I'm younger.

i guess getting older isnt that bad... just wish i was younger sometimes so my body wouldnt hurt as much, lmao

Id like to have at least one kid.
And my wife is already 7 years younger than me, so i guess im 1/3 of the way there.

Deev, i'll be 25 in a few days and then she'll be 19 in March, so for 3 months we're 7 years apart, then for the majority of the year, we're only 6 years apart.

So actually, 6 years younger. Sorry.

Over the years, ive come to realise there are handful of awkward/strange/lame ages to be.

17 - You're passed 16, but not yet 18.
19 - Is just awkward.
20 - Almost there, but not quite, but you are over the hump.
22/23 - These are just odd years. They were the weirdest ages in my life so far. You're old enough that you've been an "adult" for some time but, you're still new at some things.

I cant wait for 26 and 27.
