i heard that u can put a verizon blackberry sim card and make it work somehow but

i have my iphone working with tmobile using 3.1.2 firmware i think its been done to work with verizon too

i've got a $39.99 unlimited plan thru page plus cellular that uses verizon phones so yeah...

Im 100% sure it hasent. The iphone runs on a GSM service which uses sim cards and is completly diffrent from the CDMA service verison uses. The phone physically cannot operate on veizon. T-mobile on the other hand is a GSM phone company so all you need to do is unlock the phone to allow it to accept any sim card and your set for t-mobile.

u wud need to rewire the internals and switch the radios to work with cdma i belive...toooo much work. i heard theres a rumor that the iphone is gonna be coming out for verizon in the fall of 2010....

i might just try to get my hands on a droid though

No it would need a CDMA radio. Which it dosent have. Even if you did some how build your own iphone motherboard with a cdma radio you would need to build a new firmware and all sorts of stuff just to run the cdma hardware. So in other words: Its impossible.
