Honestly, in my searching electronics is truly "you get what you pay for". If something seems to cheap to be true, it's probably because the specs are lower in some area, just a matter of if you know where to look. Atleast, that is what I've been finding.
For example, the dynamic contrast ratios are very low or the scan rate are 60 Hz, but it's a 46" 1080P LCD CCFL for like $900.
