Is dynamic ratio important ? My friend said anything 50,000:1 + is really good, anything less is garbage. Which sucks because most of the t.v. I've seen say 20,000 :1.

This defiantly cuaght my eye also,

    What do you think ?
Your friend is correct, my Min. requirement is 50K:1 as well. It provides better picture quality basically. Go compare, with everything else being same, you'll see darker, richer colors.

Honestly, in my searching electronics is truly "you get what you pay for". If something seems to cheap to be true, it's probably because the specs are lower in some area, just a matter of if you know where to look. Atleast, that is what I've been finding.

For example, the dynamic contrast ratios are very low or the scan rate are 60 Hz, but it's a 46" 1080P LCD CCFL for like $900.

I would stay away from cheap brands like Apex, Insignia and Vizio. There is another deal by a reputable name brand somewhere, you just might have to sacrifice to a small TV size.

However, IMO picture quality is more important than size. So get what you can afford. Personally, I would be pissed having a 46" TV with the lowest standards and much happier with a 30" at top of line standards.

Damn that is good. Do I have to wait til Friday to get that deal becuase it doesn't say $699 in the link.

Also it read that the tv is "4ms", isn't that kinda slow ?

HUGE ass rep. points to you, bro !! I just bought the tv for $740.

Also just bought myself a 250gig PS3 slim with free second controller for $350.

Should expect these items in about a week.

Time to get Forza Motorsports and Modern Warfare 2.

EDIT: I didn't know FM was only for Xbox, dough!

Samsung TV's are nice. Vizio is another brand you may wanna look into. It's American made and affordable. Picture is pretty nice too.
