I am in love with how roomy they are inside.
Wanna be boosted and 40 in a CB7 to blow kids away!

I'm still relatively young but I have to say that everyday I think about getting another car just because the cb7 is so old and I'm tired of driving it for so long. I know this will offend some but in my mind, when I'm thirty I don't wanna be driving a cb7 around, just seems counter productive to me. It's been a great car, don't get me wrong, but as I get older I want to step up my game and the cb7 isn't the car I picture when I think about it.

          ...adjust accordingly

hey, I'm 52 years young at heart. I love my CB7 so much, and have so much invested in it, that I just can't imagine being without it... I recently ordered a BISI header and can't wait to put it on and have BISI dyno it for me...So to all the people that say "you're too old to be driving a CB7"... I say BS!!!

I think the CB7 makes a great project. It's a reliable daily driver, but if you want something "nicer", then the CB7 is still one of the most forgiving, potent, and enjoyable platforms out there, IMO. There's also the factor of being unexpected... nobody sees a fast CB7 coming!

I'm still trying to decide what my next car will be. A CTS-V, a BMW (3 or 5 series, possibly M), an Infiniti, or a Skyline (probably an 84, which will in some ways keep me in the same boat I'm in with the CB7... but with a much more uncommon car!) The CB7 will be the one that gets all the heavy modification, though. Whatever "nice" car I get won't get much done to it.

I was looking at 4 different cars before I got the wagon.

                  audi s4
                  saab 92-x wagon (saabaru wrx)
                  infiniti g35 sedan
                  acura tsx

I am so glad I found the wagon.

Wow, I'd put all those cars on a completely different level!

Of course, when a CB7 is done right, it doesn't matter how old it is. It has plenty of potential for performance AND appearance.

                      counter what, the fuck!
you must see cars as status symbols.

I will drive a car without a car payment as long as I live.
when I get my truck this year that is a different story.
I do not care what anyone else thinks.
CB7 is my passion. and I have a lot of love for the car.

Hit me up in 25 years and we can put both our "counter productive" vehicles to the test.

I myself have had quite a few rides from an s4 to a 79 jeep cj7. I had just been in an accident in my 90 grand am. I was checking out the local car lots around and there she was, a 93 ex sedan. she was arcadia green and out of all of the cars I saw she caught my eye and that was it. I fell in love with her. the day I was hit by the piece of drunk ass shit no license no insurance illegal alien ass fuck I felt like I lost my best friend. even with the type of damage she had I limped her home and she drove like she always had. I finally saw how bad the damage was and I was devistated. the whole front end would have had to have been replaced. I kept her in a friends unused garage untill he sold his house. I couldn't afford to repair that kind of damage so I took as many parts from her as I could think to. nelson got a couple and I have parted out most of the others. I ended up selling it to a metal scrap yard. my friend and I loaded her up on a trailer and hauled her to the place. I remember the crane dropping that claw onto her roof, lifting her up and dropping her into a crusher where she was folded in half and flattened. I remember crying. I can't really explain it. that car had gotten me out of so much shit. it was there when I needed her. hell, she was my home for a week! call me a pussy or whatever. I can say that since I have gotten another cb it will be with me for a long time.

she is down....but definately not out

I absolutely don't see cars as status symbols. Around here I usually see people getting BMW's or Audi's once they've secured a decent job and the underlying reason is because these cars represent status. I'm not saying they're not good cars but you catch my drift.

The cb7 for me is a reliable car and it gets the job done but at the end of the day I guess I just want a newer, sportier car. Lets face it, although it was innovative and ahead of its time when it was released, the cb7 is older now and cannot compete on the same level as newer vehicles. I've driven it stock, I've dropped the motor, fixed the suspension, upgraded the headlights,..etc basically you name it and I've done it with this vehicle. I think the point I'm trying to get across is I think it's time to move on "bigger and better things". The cb7 is a reliable car but there ARE others out there.

I don't want to start discussing why the cb7 doesn't meet my needs anymore because many of those needs are sports car related and the cb7 simply isn't a sports car. However, as time passes I find I'm replacing parts more often on the vehicle as it gets older, ie plastic and rubber become brittle over time due to weather, etc. I've become irritated with this constant maintenance routine and would just like to have a new car for once so that I could take care of it from day 1 and help prolong the onset of failure.

As I get older, maybe I will get a beamer or audi but not because I think i've "made it" but because it seats my family better or because audi's have AWD and I like to go snowboarding a lot, who knows?! When I'm thirty though, I can say for sure that I will not be driving a cb7.
