The actual port design is 6/10 the same, the port opening is smaller than the f22, but share the same design in the IABS, the throttle body bolt pattern is different, so, maxbore is the cheapest option

The exhaust is also smaller, it doesnt use balance shafts, open deck block, and the biggest concern is, the axles go through the crankcase (like the GTR)

PS. they sound DOPE with no exhaust

The G25 is 5 cyl and the F22 is 4 cyl so No the exhaust ports aren't the same

Or do you mean the physical port design?
I mean the physical port design. Basically, I'm wondering if the G25 head has a similar port design and valve angle as the F22A.

The F22A is pretty restrictive in stock form... as is the G25 I assume. Have you looked closely enough at a G25 head to see if it could be modified in the same way as an F22A, potentially with similar results?

it looks like it can be modified, to flow very nice, but the intake ports are the size of the f22 exhaust ports, i would say a good port it could flow just a tad bit better than f22 on stock form, you would def need a nice cam, hondata, (chrome doesnt run 5 cyl),

85mm bore (get 5 f22b pistons (up compression))

So we're not looking at F22A-esque port design, then?

I was hoping that we could have an F22A with 5 cylinders instead of 4

acutally swapping it wont be that hard, well for someone with time, money, tools and a good brain for fabrication. the tranny is pretty small. and i found like 3 in allentown harry's u pull it.

ive brought this topic up on acura legend.com once. and pretty much everything has to be custom built. but no one really tore the motor down. i would like to give it a shot and see if the parts somewhat compare to the 4cyl honda motors.

indeed the 5cyl would be better than the 4 cus of the extra cylinder, but tuning would be a bitch. turbo it wont be that hard. there good motors, just no one ever thought about putting performance mods into it.

i was wondering about the swap myself i figured it would deal with alot of fab work and so forth but if if you have the time and money (i have no money) i think i could do it. the only thing is i dont know about the aftermarket?

Nobody seems to realize that this thread is NOT about swapping this motor into a CB7.

It will not fit without MAJOR modification. It has NO aftermarket.

This thread is about the internal design of the head itself. Not "will dis fit in muh seebeeseven?"

i was only thinking about the concept but if it was swapped wouldnt you have to extend the front end of a cb? sorry i didnt mean to go off topic.

You might. Lots of things would need to be changed around... and your transmission options would be limited to those weirdo boxes that come on those engines.
