    Love that CB7

Man I miss my CB7. I sold her about a 3 weeks ago.

I miss cruising the town on summer nights...windows down...low drone from the exhaust.

I miss having to open my door to receive Taco Bell (broken power window).

I miss her bad habits and idle surging...always showed me she was still alive!

I am driving a 2001 Civic DX now (sisters car) and it's just not the same...

Hopefully I'll buy a CB7 in the future...I wish I could have kept it!

That's why I've never sold mine... and why I never will. I've had a few cars since I bought the CB7 (92 DX coupe, 2002 Accord SE, 92 Volvo 940 GL, 2002 Grand Prix GTP, 09 Fit), and my LX is still the one car that feels like home. The DX was the closest thing... that car ALMOST felt right, but it still wasn't MY car.

Mine needs a few things right now and isn't driveable but I couldn't sell it. Everyone keeps trying to get me to but it's just not possible. Me and that car have been through too much. Plus I think i've had this car longer than any other car i've ever owned. Which is kind of sad considering I haven't even had it two years yet. I don't think I could ever sell it though. It would have to be used as a parts car if nothing else.

Going on four years strong with mine. I won't let her go for obvious reasons, one being I can't afford another car.

But I've done alot with my car, from driving to Bossier City, LA to see Staind Live in concert, to countless trips to New Orleans. Piling five deep and going out on a Saturday night. Jamming some nice tunes with a good friend while driving aimlessly. Tinting the windows five percent all around and driving like your VIP. To having my car being broken into twice, only to replace the window with a piece from the junkyard cause there's so many CB's.

I can go on, and on, and on. My 91' Honda Accord is by far the best car I've owned; and I'll own it until' I can't deal with it anymore, which will not be for a long, long time.

                *sheds a tear*

                Hahah.

Yeah the buyer asked no questions about the car.

I always told myself I'd never sell the Accord. But needs change and I can not afford to take her to Chicago. Parking is just too expensive there...plus I'd never drive it, being so close to the city. Well if in the future I have extra cash and want a project car, I'll probably buy another CB7...it's not like the car was "special" in any way...just sentimental loss.

i think most of us is emotionally attacthed to our cars on this forum. plus if you get rid of it.

it will be either you leave the forum for a long time.

or you'll stick around and pop back in.

and you know they always say you'll be back in one.! and they always do.

but i already said it. i'll never sell MY car.

Mine is "pending" right now. He's going to pick it up this Wednesday.

It hurts to the gut to sell it, cuase I too built mine from scrap, but under all that new paint, rims, and motor, it's still has it's flaws. It will have new problems that I'd have to fix. It's fun to do, but I need to rest ! Maybe I'll pick one up later down the road when I'm older and start another project.
