Yeah my parents think it would do me some good to join lol. My dad's also retired Air Force though. They never tried to force it on me. They just think with my past and everything and how I am that it would work out.

Honestly, I wouldn't join any branch that could send me overseas during a time of war. I truly appreciate those that HAVE done that, and those that continue to do so... because it keeps me from having to do so!

If I joined the military, it would be the Coast Guard.


As for any branch being better... I've always heard that the Air Force places more importance on academics than any other branch. You can't be stupid and get into the Air Force. I know people that couldn't get in based on test scores.

That being said, my dad was an Army man. I have friends in every branch.

Every branch is respectable, though.

Yeah they said that it couldn't be above the collar and that the one on my forearm wasn't acceptable. Florida Army National Guard is what i'll be going into if I do go. It'll be active first though so i'll be full time. They said they just wanted to know what the Chinese lettering on my arm meant for a fact. The one on the back of my neck they said wouldn't matter because it is covered up when i'm in uniform. They had me put one of their shirts on and take pics of my neck to send to the guys CO. He ok'd it.

what r u talking about? i have read and appreciate everyones suggestions... im taking everything into consideration.... i just feel as of right now the army is mt best bet... havent made any decisions yet... still getting info

Well, the pay is the same everywhere, but army will give you signing bonus if you go to a hazardous job...ie infantry
