i cant explain what happened today....
i woke up this morning to some unexpected rain. no big deal.
but i also had a meeting about 40 mins driving time that i had to attend.
as i walk out to my CB it starts raining even harder and the thought crosses my mind that the rain light might come in handy this morning.
so i flicked it on as soon as i got out of the driveway...
i dont know if it was that people were being EXTRA cautious today cause of the rain or what.
not one single person in morning or lunchtime city and highway traffic came within 8 car lengths of my rear bumper.
not one. at all. even at stop lights the closest car behind me was 2-3 car lengths behind me.
i keep about a 10 car length between me and the nearest car ahead of me on the freeway when its raining... so i was basically all alone!
never once (even with fog light on) has that ever happened to me. i always get some dick riding my ass like its a clear sunny day when its dumping outside.
i almost thought that something was wrong.
here were my possible scenarios:
was the fog light flickering/malfunctioning? nope. it was working just fine.
was my car on fire? nope. too much rain.
was it just so sexy that everyone was scared to be near it? nope. havnt washed her in a week.
am i just such an awesome and attentive driver that nobody can touch me? nope. im a great driver but not that good, and i wasnt speeding.
it was as if the safety gods themselves were directing the traffic around me.
if i were religious at all i wouldve felt blessed.
