I was wondering when someone would ask about the passing thing

When you're sitting in the seat furthest from the center of the road, you'd have to have half the car already in the lane of oncoming traffic to see if something is coming. I mean, I guess I could do it from far back, but that wouldn't be worth it. I don't usually pass anyway.

And Jay, I was hoping you would help! You don't know how to weld, by any chance, do you?

hehe i can learn probably by the time you do it i should know how to some how. the fire wall itself is held on by that factory glue taht you see like in your trunk and some spot welds so it we just have to check if you ever get the clip over here.

          Sweet!

Maury, I was going to keep it a secret, and the fact that we talked about it when the board was down helped... I posted about it on a couple other boards looking for ideas, but I learned very quickly that people on other boards suck The whole conversation turned into "that's stupid, why would you want to do that?".

With help, this could probably be a doable project. When the time comes, I'll need to shop for a good clip! In a related matter, would anyone want to help Juan (icedplaya123) with an F20A/manual swap?

            Deeverrrrrr .. hahaha .. sweet man ..
You're gonna love drivin on *the other side* .. lol ... While in Europe I was fortunate enuff to have a friend
who let me drive his 2.8 (or was it 3.0?) beamer .. 2 door coup'e .. all I had to do was pay the insurance.
Its not as difficult passing as you might think .. (i was in Germany) you'll be surprised how much you can
actually *see* from that side of the car..

I'll admit that it did take some getting used to, but the blind spots aren't as bad as people make um out to be.
I'm also *right eye* dominant .. but .. like here in America, the Duetch drive mostly LHD cars. I was ok after
a few weeks with it ... lol !! (if i remember correctly, the pedals were the same as lhd?)
My biggest problem was hand coordination .. just steering at first was tricky because, as I found out
depending on what kina turn I was making .. the grip tension in each hand felt very awkward ..
Also backing up was a real thrill to learn at first .. lol .. In a sense .. it was almost like *learning* all over again.

Toolin around in that coup'e was a riot .. I liked steppin outta the car after I parked it, and havin the sidewalk
right there .. it cetainly did get alotta diff looks as well. (bright red)

92accordDx: Thas a scchhweeet *drop* you got bud.. niiice car!
Saucey .. lol .. correct me if me wrong but .. dont da dash come wif da clip?

Deever .. g'luck with all of this .. sure would be a great accomplishment. It would also be a good read
in the upcoming and authored book by yourself ... um .. no *pressure* now ok? LOL!!
Can't wait to see it ..

            A Hui Hou !!!
            Tomi

You might as well get another CB7 so there's no downtime. I'd convert it to RHD, then convert it back!!! Accord 2.0Si Exclusive? NOW THAT'S JDM 6!!!

I might just wait till BSTEDCB7 gets his CB9 If he can import the entire car for a decent amount, I might just get an entire RHD car myself, rather than convert my good one. I was thinking about the blind spot today, and that's gonna be annoying!

thoughtd id bring this back from the dead...i was fiendin for some RHD cb7 and came up with this in a search..ive tried to contact a different company about a half clip via emails and phone calls but to no avail. www.jarcoinc.com is their website. from that HT thread it looks like it might be fairly easy to get the specific parts for the conv. and ship them here...i know it cant be that simple but i really am still planning on moving to japan so i really want to bring back some cars when im done.

CONVERT! CONVERT! I did it all by myself to my 240sx, isn't perfect like from the factory
but it works and is a very doable mod. A clip with all the parts is all you need, maybe you'll find one the same model as your car. I ran into problems with my nissan clip because my car is a base model (light) and the clip I got had ABS so I coulden't use any of the brake lines. Just research every little thing you can think of. Before u rip your car apart, go to the junkyard and check out a stripped cb and see what your getting into. Also things like AC, power steering, ect... are gonna complicate your swap. My nissan was fairly straight forward because I will never drive the car on the street, thus eliminating alot of things a regular car would need. To do the swap you will need to strip your car and the clip, cut firewall from the clip to weld in your car, change the rack and pinnion and swap all nessary brake and steering componets, to do everything complete and thurough will take alot of mechanical work but if your up for the challange and have the means to do it, THEN I SAY GO FOR IT, but if u don't then it might not be for u cuz its alot of tedious things to do.

if you are in the military there is loop holes to bring shit back with you. but if you just move there for the fun of it and want to bring something back. its pretty difficult to, unless you just plan on using it for a track only/offroad car.

Wow, this IS old! I pretty much gave up on the idea for now. It would be cool, but I would probably get SO sick of not being able to see properly in traffic! Have you ever driven your S13 on the road? It seems that having the driver on the right would create crazy blind spots... That, and the fact that I can't weld and don't have the means (money) to have it done, were the reasons for my decision to not do it.

So far no, my project rhd is not completed yet, I still have to put a full roll cage,
then send the car back to the bodyshop to get the interior painted, then re-install the motor, BUT all the sterring is connected so if I have to move the car around I got to sit in there and steer it, Dude it's pretty akward. Another reason for not making it street legal but keeping it a drag car.
