Some apps ive downloaded dont show on SB...

its a random occurrence that i cant find any reason for. but for some reason, a small percentage of apps i get from sites wont show up on the springboard of my phone. they download fine, they copy to itunes fine and they copy to my phone ok... but after theyre all done copying and i reboot the phone, some of them arent there. i check back with itunes, and according to it, the apps are there, i just cant see them.

is there something i can do?

well since nobody has any answers for that question. how about this one...

sometimes i get the apps successfully installed on my phone, but they crash and close out while starting up. could it be an issue with my phone or is that particular ipa faulty in some way?

      First question:

Is your phone Jailbroken? If it's not jailbroken, there is a limit to how many pages of "apps" you can have. The total # isn't in my head at the moment...but i've added so many apps on my old 2G phone that they were "there" but didn't show up until I deleted other apps on other pages. Now if you have a jailbroken phone....u can fit alot more many more pages of apps. Have you tried to reboot your phone? sometimes they won't show up until u do that.

As far as IPAs go, if they were corrupt, the Iphones installer will tell you so when it tries to decompress the IPA before installing it.

What Iphone do you have? If you have the first gen "2G" silverback phone.... alot of the new apps that are becoming available sure can use the processing power and extended memory of the 3GS...although it will still work on the 2G and regular 3G.

Most often times and a rule for optimum good starts on a newly installed app is to reboot the iphone entirely or "respring" in order to get most of the phones system memory back...unless u have a aftermarket programs that allows you to release system resources and this enables you to run the applications that require more memory to start off with.

I like using "processes" program to kill and delete programs that are still resident in system memory even when they supposed to have been closed already.

I currently have 3 iphones in my posession... 8GB 3G on Philippines SMART network, 16GB 3G on T-Mobile (going to girlfriend) and a 32GB 3GS on AT&T all Jailbroken on 3.1 at the moment. I'm about to do the 3.12 update shortly on my 3GS.

Lemme know wassup man... OH i highly recommend the TomTom app.... 1.2GB download =P but so well worth it!

My phone used "crash", well, the apps.
I had to restore, and re jailbreak.
