    The CB7 is totaled

I was on my lunch break driving home when I rear ended a pizza driver who was in a hurry and slammed on his breaks with no working tail-lights and was cited by the police because of it. I was also cited for failure to control speed to avoid a collision which I am going to fight. The JDM one peice headlights are toast as is the g-square grill! The bad part is the JDM h22 and LSD tranny are going with the car, but im keeping the desmond regamasters. I was thinking about buying the car back from the auction but I dont have the time to deal with it right now. The car had 240,000 miles and the insurance would rather just pay me out. I dont have good pics only what I took with my i-phone.

I don't plan on getting another CB7 anytime soon, but possibly in the far future as a rememberance. On the bright side, I am looking at few different options, possibly a EVO MR, WRX, is300, or a RSX. I am leaning towards the EVO but we shall see.

The damage doesnt look that bad, but its much worse than it looks in the pics.

Buy it back and fix it, done it twice. Or you can buy it back and strip it...

You'll come out on top in the end

You might make more money if you part it out. Hate to see a car like that go to the yard.

I don't see how that can't be fixable... sucks... but that can't be totalled!

At least you're ok, though. Too many nice CBs getting wrecked these days, but we haven't lost a member yet! Hopefully we never do.

Dude you can buy it back for a fraction of what its worth and part it. The H swap alone is worth $1500 at least, and I bet the insurance company isn't giving you the money back for that.

Damn that sucks. So is your insurance totalling it out? Don't think I've seen you on here before, sorry to see an AZ accord biting the dust.

Reconsider totalling it if you can. There's always parts out there to get you back up and running.

If you don't, you planning to sell the Regamasters?

in theory, you don't actually have to "buy" it back. The insurance company just gives you a check less the difference. For example, when my car was broken into and $4500 worth of damage and loss was done, the buy-back was $600, the "value" was $2900, so I got a check for $2300. It's pretty easy, and hardly takes any time at all. I suppose this may only be for full coverage, if you just have liability it would come out of pocket. Or just don't claim the accident at all...
