Days like today make CB ownership worth it....
I was driving around looking for parking, and I turned down a block where an ML350 was waiting at a light. It was probably an eighth or fifth of a mile long, and I was doing maybe 20MPH so for shits and giggles I gunned it and chirped into 2nd, and slowed down for the light.
The light turns green, but the ML doesn't turn; an older dude jumps out of the passenger side. I'm like 'shit, is he a cop or something... I'm fucked'... he comes to the driver's side door, and I roll down the window:
Old dude: hey man what did you do to this car to get that kind of power??? i heard it coming behind us and couldn't believe it was this car!!!
glory: Nothing really, just an exhaust and an intake...
Old dude: I mean I heard the tires screech when you changed gears, I couldn't believe it. I have a wagon stickshift and its nothing like this... just an intake and exhaust?
glory: Yep *rolls window up*
Mind you, I need an O2 sensor and a tune up... still, made my day
